Role Summary


The Regional PIC Manager (People, Inclusion & Culture) will be part of the UMG Southeast Asia and Korea (SEAK) Regional PIC team providing full-service support and driving PIC initiatives across their allocated Southeast Asia territories (currently Thailand, Vietnam & Indonesia) in order to ensure consistency & excellence of the UMG PIC offering.



The Regional PIC manager will ensure a high level of business partnership, proactively providing total people solutions and administrative support to the regional MD’s, Senior Management and employees. This will include (but is not limited to) employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, learning and development, PIC systems operation and performing relevant PIC administration as required.   



About this role


  • Work with MDs and their senior teams to provide value-added PIC advice and supporting their people management efforts.
  • Partner with line managers to provide guidance, support and advice on all aspects of employee relations and performance management.
  • In conjunction with the wider PIC team and the legal dept, ensure full consistency and adherence as regards corporate compliance and the UMG code of conduct.
  • Review and maintain existing PIC policies / processes to create best-in-class PIC structures by territory and with due consideration of local employment law and culture in the relevant territories.
  • Manage the successful implementation of regional or global PIC initiatives, localizing initiatives where necessary and implementing best practice processes in conjunction with the wider PIC team.  
  • Liaise with our regional PIC and Compensation and Benefits teams to help maintain a competitive benefits system and performance evaluation system.
  • Work closely with C&B team to develop and maintain a competitive total reward structure for the company based on market data and effective benchmarking.
  • Provide Talent Acquisition expertise and support, partnering with the various territories to provide guidance on hiring / onboarding staff as well as actively running direct recruitment campaigns and partnering with recruitment agencies as needed.
  • Support the designing and implementation of Learning & Development programs to enhance current employee capability & creating an effective talent pipeline in accordance with the needs of the business.
  • Learn and operate to best effect, the company HRIS system (Workday) and related systems to ensure effective data gathering, reporting and efficient administrative operations.
  • Action relevant administrative tasks as needed pursuant to the needs of the business and company processes.


Desirable Traits:


  • Degree qualified with 10 years of generalist PIC experience with a focus in PIC Business Partnering and a good working knowledge of Compensations & Benefits.
  • Experienced in full spectrum of PIC business partnering and PIC management
  • Sound knowledge of local statutory and legal requirements within the relevant countries (currently Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia) 
  • Some prior experience of both Talent Acquisition and L&D 
  • Acts with Integrity and engenders trust and confidence in business leaders 
  • Communicates effectively and takes accountability for their actions
  • Builds strong work relationships with leadership and holds the trust of employees 
  • Comfortable in a fast paced environment and able to adjust priorities swiftly 
  • Interested in music business.
  • Prior PIC experience in media an advantage
