As the Payroll Analyst, you will support payroll for an assigned group of offices or regions by monitoring all tasks necessary to accomplish payroll processing objectives for those assigned group of offices or regions. You must be extremely detail orientated with significant knowledge and experience of payroll administration, including state and federal regulations. Additionally, you are responsible for providing accurate and timely processing of payroll, problem resolution as needed, commitment to process improvement, strong customer service, and assisting junior team members with troubleshooting complex payroll issues or queries.
How you'll CREATE:
• Compile, track, and enter payroll data into the payroll system such as: hours worked, vacation, personal and holiday hours, taxes, and union dues to be withheld
• Follow established procedures to accurately process weekly, bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll
• Review wage calculations, audit timekeeping records and correct any errors to ensure accuracy of payroll
• Audit new hires, terminations, retro transactions, wage garnishments and tax setup for accuracy
• Validate data concerning transfer of employees between departments, rate changes, address changes and direct deposit
• Handle sensitive data with discretion to protect employee’s confidential information
• Prepare and issue any manual checks as necessary
• Process, review, and audit automated standard reports to verify accuracy and correct any out of balance transactions as necessary
• Facilitate audit requests, prepare special reports and/or work on special projects as assigned by management
• Support, collaborate and provide guidance to team members on issues and questions concerning payroll related topics
• Resolve payroll questions and time tracking inquires via our People Connect portal ServiceNow
Bring your VIBE:
• 4+ years of processing Payroll in a large multi-state, multi-location environment required
• Associates Degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or related field preferred
• Experience with Workday Payroll and Time Tracking or similar systems experience preferred
• Fundamental Payroll Professional (FPP) designation preferred
• Knowledge of IRS and various state regulations regarding payroll and accounting reconciliations/auditing techniques preferred
• Ability to multi-task effectively without compromising the quality of the work
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Detail oriented, organized, process focused, problem solver, proactive, ambitious, customer service focused
• Ability to draw conclusions and make independent decisions with limited information
• Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers, staff, regulatory agencies, vendors, and other members of the business community
• Self-motivated, reliable individual capable of working independently as well as part of a team
• Problem solving skills to gather & analyze information to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action
• Actively share ideas in a constructive and positive manner by listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software applications
• Significant knowledge of payroll systems, laws and practices, knowledge, and administration of sound techniques in all aspects of payroll

Salary Range:
$59,000 - $72,000
The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
